Director
Dr. Stephen Wintermeyer, MD, MPH

Dr. Stephen Wintermeyer is the Director of IUPUI Health Services. He has been Medical Director from 1996 to 2002 and Director since 2002. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Occupational Medicine at IU School of Medicine. Dr. Wintermeyer received his MD from Harvard Medical School and his MPH from the University of California, Berkeley. He has completed an Internal Medicine residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and an Occupational Medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He also completed fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UCSF. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care and Occupational Medicine. In additional to his administrative role, Dr. Wintermeyer sees patients at IUPUI Health Services and attends in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at several IUSM affiliated hospitals.

Nurse Manager
Mary Brand, RN MSN

Ms. Brand assumed the role of Clinical Nurse Manager for IUPUI Health Services in January of 2009. She has many years experience as an RN and advanced practice nurse. Mary received her ASN, BSN and Master’s of Nursing from Indiana University School of Nursing. She began her nursing career at Riley Hospital for Children, Taught at IU School of Nursing at Columbus and Ivy-Tech Columbus, and then worked at the IU Cancer Pavilion. Ms. Brand has developed and implemented training programs for the insurance industry and worked as an independent legal nurse consultant.

Administrator
Doris A. Mays, MHA

Doris A. Mays is the Administrator for IUPUI Health Services. Prior to joining IUPUI Health Services in 2002 she served as Director /Practice Manager for IUMG Primary Care. She received her Masters in Health/Hospital Administration from Xavier University, Cincinnati and also has a Masters in Audiology from the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Mays received her BS degree from Syracuse University. Prior to coming to Indianapolis in 1996, she held various positions in health care at Ohio State University, Children’s Medical Center in Dayton Ohio, and with Blue Cross/University Cincinnati Health Plan.

Nurse Practitioner
Lee Bernard, MSN, MPH

Lee has several years experience as a nurse and nurse practitioner with experience in family practice, urgent care, orthopedics, occupational health, surgery and recovery. She obtained her nursing and public health degrees from IUPUI. She is nationally certified as an adult nurse practitioner, a college health nurse and a health education specialist. She sees patients all but 3 half-days per week.

Staff Physician
Sarah Davidson, MD

Dr. Sarah Davidson is a part-time physician at IUPUI Health Services. She is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at IU School of Medicine and practices Internal Medicine with the IU Medical Group. Dr. Davidson received her MD from Yale School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Barnes Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Davidson has a strong interest in College Health and while in St. Louis, she worked at Washington University Health and Counseling Services.

Elizabeth (Beth), RN

Beth joined our team in June 2008. She graduated from IVY Tech State College in May 2006. She worked on a medical-surgical unit at Hancock Regional Hospital before joining IUPUI. She likes to spend time with family, attend concerts, shop and loves watching football. GO COLTS!

Lorri, LPN

Lorri joined IUPUI Health Services in May 2006. She graduated from Ivy Tech in 1989. She worked on the Family Practice Unit at Methodist Hospital for several years and later worked at a rehabilitation hospital as a float nurse in head injury, stroke, spinal cord, and mixed disability units. Before joining IUPUI Health Services, Lorri was most recently employed at University Orthopaedic.

Heather, RN (prn)

Heather joined IUPUI Health Services in January 2009.  She graduated from Ball State University with a BSN.in 1991. She has worked in several areas of nursing through out her career.

Toni, LPN

Toni graduated from Ivy Tech in 2004. She has returned to our clinic after working in the IU Family Practice clinic in University Hospital. She also has experience in Med/Surg, and Geriatrics.

Rebecca, RN (prn)

Angela, Administrative Secretary

Angie sets appointments, checks in patients and serves as a front line receptionist on the front desk. Angela officially joined SHS in July 2003 as an hourly data entry clerk. She accepted the Senior Data Entry Clerk position in August 2003 and covered the check out desk, set appointments for drug screening, and was the principal person for entering encounter date. Prior to joining SHS Angela was the office manager for a Chiropractor for several years. She assumed her current position in August 2004.

Barbara, Administrative Secretary

Barbara provides Administrative Support, coordinates care and following up issues related to IU Worker's Compensation cases with the risk management office in Bloomington, and provides Billing Services for our current agreements. She joined IUPUI HS in 2008. She covers the back desk for check out, set appointments for drug screens, and does data entry. Barbara is an avid birdwatcher and was instrumental in placing information and photographs of her beloved falcons at the top of the Indianapolis City County Building.

Jeanie, Administrative Assistant

Maxine, Data Entry

Maxine initial came to IUPUI Health Services in October 2003 as a temporary worker from Kelly Services. She was hired on in January 2004 part time (3 days per week) to provided data entry and other clerical support services.

Susan, Clinical Clerk

Susan is primarily responsible for filing, and purging medical records. She also coversr thefront and back desk area. Susan has been an employee with IUPUI Health Services since April 2002. She made a lateral move to her current position in March 2003 from the back desk area. Susan’s previous experience included providing office and facility support within a school.

Brittany Veal, Wellness Assistant

Brittany graduated from Indiana University (Bloomington) in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Health Science focusing on Public Health. Brittany is currently completing her Master's in Healthcare Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has several years of experience with working with people to promote optimal care. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), a HIV/AIDS educator and has worked with several not for profit and health agencies implementing programs and teaching health education.
