    A searchable database maintained by the Mayo Clinic that includes information on conditions, diseases, drugs, supplements, a symptom checker, a first-aid guide, and many other health topics and tools.
  • Go Ask Alice!
    A project of Columbia University, is a searchable question and answer database that contains health-related questions asked by students, parents, professionals, and others. If you don’t find the answer you need, anyone can pose a question anonymously. Topics include alcohol and other drugs, fitness and nutrition, emotional health, general health, sexuality, sexual health, and relationships.
  • CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)
    Site includes information on many diseases and conditions, health promotion, occupational health, travelers' health, and much more.
  • What's your 10 year risk of having a heart attack?
    The National Institute of Health has an online tool to tell you your risk level.
  • The Bacchus & Gamma Peer Education Network
    The BACCHUS Network is a university and community based network focusing on comprehensive health and safety initiatives, including alcohol abuse, impaired driving, sexual responsibility, safe spring break, and tobacco prevention and cessation.

    Includes information and statistics on more than 800 topics in women’s health.

  • College Drinking: Changing the Culture
    Developed by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) to provide research-based information on issues related to alcohol abuse and binge drinking. Special sections included for college students, college parents, and college presidents. Includes an alcohol calorie calculator, an alcohol cost calculator, and a blood alcohol content calculator.

    Includes a Virtual Bar to learn how drinking effects your blood alcohol content based on your gender, body weight, food intake, and what, how much, and how fast you drink.
  • B.R.A.D. 21: Be Responsible About Drinking
    Brad 21 was founded by the family and friends of a Michigan State University student who died of alcohol poisoning after celebrating his 21st birthday. This web site contains information about alcohol poisoning, blood alcohol content, drinking laws, and much more.

  • CDC: Sexually Transmitted Diseases
    The STD section of the CDC’s web sites provides fact sheets on sexually transmitted diseases/infections and surveillance data.

    Provides detailed information and pictures of sexually transmitted infections.
  • American Social Health Association
    Includes fact sheets and statistics about STDs/STIs. Information about using a condom is also provided.
  • Smarter Sex.org
    A project of the Bacchus & Gamma Peer Education Network. Includes information about safer sex, HIV and AIDS, STDs and infections, date rape, abstinence, contraception, and healthy relationships.

    Provides information about birth control, emergency contraception, abortion, adoption, men’s health, parenting, pregnancy, sexual healthy, STDs/STIs, women’s health, etc. Planned Parenthood of Indiana contains information about services available in Indiana (including prevention and pregnancy options).

    A project of the Office of Population Research at Princeton University and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. Includes information about the basics of emergency contraception, frequently asked questions, where emergency contraception is available in the U.S., and what brands of birth control pills can be used for emergency contraception.
  • Clinic for Women
    An Indianapolis clinic that provides a pregnancy options workbook, pregnancy terminations through the first trimester, free pregnancy testing, and ultrasound. Family planning options, supplies, and exams are also available by appointment.
